1st place: $50 gift certificate to the Baker’s Catalogue
2nd place: Baker’s Companion Cookbook
3rd place: A King Arthur Flour Tote Bag

Junior Category
1st place: $40 gift certificate to the Baker’s Catalogue
2nd place: A King Arthur Flour Tote Bag and Dough Whisk
3rd place: A King Arthur Flour Apron

All winners will also receive a gorgeous ribbon


RULES
Contestants must be a resident of the State of Connecticut; one entry per person.

Pre-entry form is required and is due as follows: received by date: September 1, 2007.

Exhibitor must submit a UPC label from the flour bag when he/she submits the entry.

Entry must follow the designated recipe.

For the junior entry the recipe for The Essential Chocolate Cookies must be used exactly as attached.
For the adult entry the recipe for Classic Cinnamon-Nut Coffee Ring must be used exactly as it appears as attached.

An entry form must be sent in by September 1st. Use the Baking form attached or the General Entry form that is located in the center of the premium book. Entries must be submitted for judging on Wednesday, September 12th at the fairgrounds between 12 noon and 8:00 pm. Judging will be Thursday morning.

All entries must be submitted on a disposable container for judging.

Judging will be based on the following criteria:
Flavor - 50 points
Overall Appearance - 25 points
Texture - 25 points
TOTAL - 100 points

Failure to follow the rules may result in disqualification.
